Benq Corporation; founded in 1984 and headquartered in Taiwan, is a Taiwanese company that has specialized in three different line of products; electronic products, computing products and communicational products. It is widely recognized for its mobile phones, digital cams, LCD displays and similar products. Benq, which means Bringing Enjoyment and Quality, was initially known as the Acer Peripherals Inc but in 2001, it was finally re-branded with a different name; Benq. Benq Corporation works under the Benq Group which also includes other brands like AU Optronics. According to a report published in 2007, Benq announced that it will change the brand name to Qisda. The current headquarter of Benq is in Taoyuan, Taiwan and the company operate globally; having branch offices in almost all countries. The company has got more than 15,000 employees dedicated to provide quality products to the end users. One interesting fact about Benq is that in August 2006, it signed a contract for sponsorship with a famous Spanish Football Club; Real Madrid, and merged their logo with the existing logo of Siemens.
